To get the most out of these boards, before posting a topic, we suggest:

Scrolling through past posts to see if your question has already been asked and answered. Postings are in chronological order of the date when the topic was first posted. You can also use the SEARCH function to look for past posts about your question.

If you don't see your question addressed, or if you have additional questions, post a New Topic rather than replying to an existing topic. This will increase the likelihood of getting responses to your specific question. Also, try to describe your specific question in the topic subject line rather than "New Knitter" or "Help."

The more information you can provide in your question, the better the responses.

We hope you enjoy the postings on this board and will come back to share your knowledge with others.

Marian --

I have been using stash to knit for charity -- I used 6 skeins of 6-ply sock yarn to make 6 pairs of fingerless mitts. And I've got a giant skein of yarn I got from Joann's that should make 4-5 pairs of slippers and I have some tough acrylics that I use to make cage cozies for shelter animals.

Unfortunately, every time I move a couple of skeins of yarn that way I go and treat myself to 10 more. <G> I'm in the middle of making an afghan for my daughter's equestrian drill team to raffle off at their next Regimental Meet the end of May. I wanted it in the group colors of Turqoise, black and silver. Obviously not in my stash -- finally settled with Plymouth Encore which had the turqoise and black but the grey I got looks more pewter than silver. Oh well. Now WEBS says they have Encore on sale and I'm tempted to get more -- don't know what for but the price looks so good.

Like JJKnitter, I am a yarn addict!
