To get the most out of these boards, before posting a topic, we suggest:

Scrolling through past posts to see if your question has already been asked and answered. Postings are in chronological order of the date when the topic was first posted. You can also use the SEARCH function to look for past posts about your question.

If you don't see your question addressed, or if you have additional questions, post a New Topic rather than replying to an existing topic. This will increase the likelihood of getting responses to your specific question. Also, try to describe your specific question in the topic subject line rather than "New Knitter" or "Help."

The more information you can provide in your question, the better the responses.

We hope you enjoy the postings on this board and will come back to share your knowledge with others.

Poncho pattern

Hi, I'm working on the poncho pattern from this site - but need some help understanding the pattern. The pattern calls for:

Rnd 2: [Sk 2 dc, work 1 shell st in ch-2 sp, sk1 dc, work 1 dc in each of next 8 (9, 10) dc] 3 times, sk 2 dc, work shell st in next ch-2 sp, sk1 dc, work 1 dc in each of last 7 (8, 9) dc. Join with sl st to top of t-ch. Ch 3, turn (4 increases made).

Rnd 3: Sk first dc, work 1 dc in each of next 8 (9, 10) dc, [sk 1 dc, work shell st into next ch-2 sp, sk 2 dc, work 1 dc in each of next 9 (10, 11) dc] 3 times, sk 1 dc, work shell st in next ch-2 sp, sl st, in top of t-ch Ch 3, turn ( 4 increases made).

Cont to rep rnds 2 and 3 and cont in this way to inc 4 sts every rnd, having 1 more dc between each shell, until there are 20 (22, 24) dc between each shell.

So, if I understand it, I repeat rounds 2 and 3 so that it ends up like this?

Rnd 26: [Sk 2 dc, work 1 shell st in ch-2 sp, sk1 dc, work 1 dc in each of next 20 dc] 3 times, sk 2 dc, work shell st in next ch-2 sp, sk1 dc, work 1 dc in each of last 7 dc. Join with sl st to top of t-ch. Ch 3, turn (4 increases made).

Rnd 27: Sk first dc, work 1 dc in each of next 8 dc, [sk 1 dc, work shell st into next ch-2 sp, sk 2 dc, work 1 dc in each of next 21 dc] 3 times, sk 1 dc, work shell st in next ch-2 sp, sl st, in top of t-ch Ch 3, turn ( 4 increases made).

HELP...
Thanks
