To get the most out of these boards, before posting a topic, we suggest:

Scrolling through past posts to see if your question has already been asked and answered. Postings are in chronological order of the date when the topic was first posted. You can also use the SEARCH function to look for past posts about your question.

If you don't see your question addressed, or if you have additional questions, post a New Topic rather than replying to an existing topic. This will increase the likelihood of getting responses to your specific question. Also, try to describe your specific question in the topic subject line rather than "New Knitter" or "Help."

The more information you can provide in your question, the better the responses.

We hope you enjoy the postings on this board and will come back to share your knowledge with others.

Okay, now I get it. You put down as Round 26 & Round 27 what you think you will be doing when you finish. I thought it was part of the pattern you were following.

This pattern comes in 3 sizes, which is why you have directions like this "work 1 dc in each of next 8 (9, 10) dc" The first number 8, is for the smallest size and and the last number 10, is for the largest size.

Basically you have 4 shells that line up one above the other. In between each shell you will have an increasing number of dc's. Each time you do Round 2 you will be adding a dc between the shells and each time you do round 3 you will be adding a dc between the shells. The instructions tell you to continuing repeating rounds 2 and 3, until you have have 20 dc's between each shell for the small size, 22 dc's between each shell for the medium size and 24 dc's between each shell for the large size.
