trouble with instructions

I am relatively new to crocheting and am having a problem with the basic technique of the tunisian lace stitch. When I follow the basic tunisian crochet stitch (also called afghan stitch) row 1 is fine. It is when I get to row 2 my instructions are confusing. It says to yo, draw yrn through first loop on hook, *yo,draw through 2 loops*,do not turn work; the 1 remaining loop counts as 1st st on next row. Now the confusing part - the next part of the direction reads row 2 also: *ch 3, yo, draw through 5 loops, yo, draw through 1 loop*, then it reads row 3 ch 1, *draw up a loop through the top of each cluster, draw up a loop in each chain of the 3-ch group* Rep from row 2.

Which row 2 do I follow? What does draw through 5 loops mean?
What does it mean to draw up a loop in the top of each cluster?
I thought I knew the basics of crocheting, but this is very confusing. Thanks for any help.
