To get the most out of these boards, before posting a topic, we suggest:

Scrolling through past posts to see if your question has already been asked and answered. Postings are in chronological order of the date when the topic was first posted. You can also use the SEARCH function to look for past posts about your question.

If you don't see your question addressed, or if you have additional questions, post a New Topic rather than replying to an existing topic. This will increase the likelihood of getting responses to your specific question. Also, try to describe your specific question in the topic subject line rather than "New Knitter" or "Help."

The more information you can provide in your question, the better the responses.

We hope you enjoy the postings on this board and will come back to share your knowledge with others.

Afghan book

Not long ago, I saw an afghan that I wouldn't mind making. It was in a book of afghan patterns, toward the end of the book. The book cost about $29, which is why I didn't leap out and buy it first thing. Instead I went home and gave it some thought. I decided that I would go ahead and buy the book (bolstered by a 40% off coupon), only to find out that the book was no longer in the store where I had first seen it. I do not know the name of the book (I'd get it from Amazon if I did). I will describe the afghan that got my attention in case some of you may know the name of the pattern book. This particular afghan has a large desert scene on it, probably at sunset, with cactus, maybe a butte or two, and a horseback rider. It would be great in my desert home. If anybody out there knows the name of the book, please let me know. Thanks.
