Beginner needs help..

I am attempting to learn to crochet.  I have a free Lion Brand yarn directions for "Two color (pattern # 10190 ) )" afghan, (BEGINNER)  with the following:
Ch 129, with MC.Row 1 (RS) Sc into 2nd ch from hook, ch1, skip 1 ch, *sc in next ch, ch 1, skip 1 ch; repfrom *, end 1 sc into each of last 2 ch.
Row 2 Ch1, turn. Sc into first sc, ch 1, skip next sc, * SC IN NEXT CH-1, CH 1, skip nextsc; rep from *, end sc in last ch1- sp, sc in last sc.
Please explain the SC IN NEXT CH-1, CH 1,  .
Am I supposed to sc in the first row or do I go to the lower portion of the single ch and come in from there.  and where is the CH 1 at, the next loop ?
Thanks for ANY help you can give me!!   SKDriscoll

On row 1, when you *sc in

On row 1, when you *sc in next ch, ch 1, skip 1 ch; repfrom * you are creating a series of sc linked together with a ch-1.  This ch-1 will be the ch-1 space for your next row.On row 2,  when you come to this ch-1 space, your instructions say:  * SC IN NEXT CH-1, CH 1, skip nextsc; rep from *,To sc in the ch-1 space, insert your hook into the space that exists between the foundation chain and the ch-1 of Row 1, draw a loop, and then draw yarn through the two loops on your hook.  Your sc will basically be wrapped around the ch-1.
