Hi all,
New to knitting sweaters and I am getting stuck on this part and don´t want to mess up. Can someone please explain to a newbie what exactly this means?
Thanks for supporting a male knitter :-)

Shoulders: Cast off 30 sts beg next 2 rows. Leave rem 35 (35-37-39-39) sts on a st holder.
does this mean cast off 30 on the right side -knit the rest of the row
then cast off 30 on the left side- until I reach the neck (rem 35 st)

Yes. From the pattern:
Yes. From the pattern: "Shoulders: Cast off 30 (32-33- 38-43) sts beg next 2 rows. Leave rem 35 (35-37-39-39) sts on a st holder. " With the right side facing you, you start the knit row by casting off 30(+) stitches. After you have turned the work to start the purl row, you cast of 30(+) stitches purlwise. You will have 35(+) stitches remaining. These are the center back part of the sweater, and are placed on a holder for later. There is a similar decrease to shape the front. These stitches will be worked later to make the neckband.
Hope this helps.
