Hi everyone I have just started crocheting, I know the basic stitches.
My problem is when I read the pattern I think it is missed the final R
nd 1: With white, ch 4, slst in first ch to form ring. (ch 3 counts as dc), 2dc in ring, ch 2, (3dc, ch2, 3dc), 3 timesin ring, join with sl st in top o ch-3. My question to you am I also to ch 2 then join with slst, because if I go by pattern there is not 4 ch sps.
I so hope that someone out there can answer my question.
The patterns by Martha Brooks Stein, Simply, simple afghan. Thanks for the help

Hi Mother Hen, You are right it is just like to pattern you had me go to. I know that it was missing a step, also it did not tell you on the 2rnd, that you need to have 2 cluster with a ch 1 between then. Thank you so very much for your help. I am going to make this into a bedcover for a queen bed. Again thank you.

Mrsjah ,
Your pattern question sounds like the Granny Square round 1 instruction.
Look at this site and see if it looks like the pattern you are making.
This pattern uses a ch3 between groups, yours is using a ch2 .
I think the pictures and checking the stitch placements will make you say " Oh now I see It "
Now to answer your question about the chain 2 >
Yes you will make a ch2 to join at the end of the row.
