This pattern is on your site /projects/mayo1.html
I've gotten doen to where it reads: Joining Round: (right side) Work in dc across back, work.......
What is the object of thie "joining round". Am I going to be working down the side seams in this section? I am so confused.
Any help you can give to shed light on these instructions will be muchly appreciated.
Thanks.

I've crocheted the front and crotch and fastened off. Then crocheted the back. Now I have the one piece which consists of the front, crotch, and back. Now am to the part of the pattern that reads:
"Joining Round: (right side) Work in dc across back, work 1 dc in each dc along last row of front, join with a slip stitch in top of first ch-3. There are 120 sts around. Ch 3, turn. Continue to work even in this manner, joining and turning at the end of each round until 8", from first sc row of crotch. Ch 1."
I think I've halfway figured it out, but the leg openings seem too big doing it the way I think. However, for times sake, I'm trying it and if it doesn't work....well, it won't be the first time something around me has been unraveled! :) Thanks for your input.

You first make the crotch -- think about it as the part of the diaper that does the work. You are now joining in the round to create the waist band.
Does this help?
