I want to knit a gift for a relative in Australia (It is spring and going into summer there) I can't find the ribbon yarn that I used to make a summer scarf wtih in the stores. Does anyone have any Ideas? Please suggest.

Thanks for the info. I did
Thanks for the info. I did find an on line source for the yarn.
retail yarn web sites
Have you tried any of the many on-line sources of yarns?
By the way, a craft store is the main local source near me and I've also noticed that there are very few novelty yarns there. A couple of years ago there were so many. Now they have been relegated to a very small corner of one shelf and there are many more natural-fiber yarns and natural/synthetic blends taking their place. I couldn't even find plain old worsted wool in the craft store for several years and now there are wools in several varieties and weights.
