Oh! the Problem

To All Loyal Members,
We truly have a problem on the Forum!!! Is there anything we can do about this situation? I have emailed the Home Contact and have not heard back yet!!!! I must admit that was months ago....I know many of you have done the same. This is such a wonderful group of people and I have learned so much, I do not want to see this site go by the wayside. I will contact the Home again and see what happens....Take care....All the best, Jane

click on the pic

Click on the picture of the sunset. When the next page opens, scroll down just a tiny bit and you'll see another picture of the sunset (same size) boxed with text about the discussion boards. Click on that picture (or the linked text) and you'll go right to the boards.

I would have given you a direct url, but I can't pick them up easily with my new system. I suppose there is a really easy way, but I'd have to read the manual, wouldn't I???? I promise I'll figure it out before this machine dies.

By the way, it's worth scrolling down even farther on that second page to see Darilyn's (list mom) gorgeously executed lace projects.

Oh! the problem

Alex, I can't get to the site you're talking about via your link. I scrolled down
to the original post where you had the full address, and it just takes me to
a page that says, "PageByPage of Maui," and I don't know how to search
or even what I'd be searching for. Any hints for the rest of us?

It's really sad that the administrators are ignoring all your (and by
that I mean everybody's) attempts to contact them, to ask them
to clean things up and try to figure out a way that this forum can
be the helpful place it once was.

successfully moved one comment to different site

I refuse to answer a technical question here anymore. I responded to a question a couple of days ago at the www.pagebypage technical crochet forum. Kellymcadam, the original poster visited that site and posted there.

That's my plan for at least the immediate future.

I agree. I have emailed them

I agree. I have emailed them four separate times and called and left two messages concerning the inappropriate posts on all the boards. Nothing has been done and it has been a couple of months since I tried to contact them. When I access the home page and click on forums, I only check the posts if I do not see the name that has been posting inappropriately for the past few months. It is a shame that nothing is being done. This has been a very informative and helpful board to many and it is unfair to all of us to have to move somewhere else.

Honestly, they do not care about the boards any longer. And unfortunately, it will affect their Warm Up America project, if no one comes online and sees that link.

multiple tries to get some solution

I've emailed a few times. Once I made a couple of suggestions as to possible solutions. They may or may not have been workable, but I never even received acknowledgement. I am thoroughly disgusted. I realize that this may be a difficult problem to solve, but it appears that there has been no attempt made to solve it or to be courteous to those who have spent hours on these forums.

As I stated in another post, this organization exists to promote the use of the materials that go into knitting, crocheting, and other crafts. The manufacturers are being ill-served.

I would suggest that we fold up our tents and move. I would suggest a user-friendly site: www.pagebypage.com. The forums there are set up in a very practical way and I think a lot of people who used to post regularly have moved on to Ravelry and other sites. It is also extremely well-monitored. I've never seen any spam and any technical updates are immediately posted for everyone's convenience.
