Crochet

downy dreams by carole prior

I have tried this pattern several times and have not been able to duplicate the look in the picture. The instructions seem so easy, but it can't be the same. I saw one comment and tried to follow the other ladies answer, but it was exactly as I did it. has anyone else had a problem with this one? Has anyone ever made it?

towel topper pattern done in 2 pieces, top part first then the bottom joins the top together forming the topper

Hi,
I saw a towel topper that was done in 2 pieces, the top part first, the lady tried to tell me how to do it but I couldn't really understand her, basically it was a series of 5 chains up and then 5 chains down with 5 chains in between so it was a nice long stitch. She did say it was 10 wide and 8 high. Then she did the bottom half of the towel and as she went she joined the top part to the bottom, it sure was a nice looking topper. Does anyone out there have the pattern for this topper? or have any idea what I'm talking about...lol Any ideas would be really appreciated.

Yarn Donations

Hi Everyone! I'm new here so please be patient! A few years ago I sent messages to yarn, craft, crochet and knitting message boards asking for yarn donations. I was making afghans, hats, scarves, and lap blankets for seniors in nursing homes. I received a huge supply of different yarns and I did make those items. The seniors were so happy and grateful; some cried. I again am asking for yarn donations so I can do this again. It was so rewarding to do this. I told the seniors about all the people who sent the yarn. They were very impressed!
