1 pair of girl's socks, desired beads with the hole big enough to pass hook into, crochet thread, and a #9 hook.
Make a loop on the hook and sl st thru one weave at the top of the sock to attach. Ch 5, slip bead onto thread by putting hook thru bead and drawing up a loop, sl st to close, ch 5 back to sock edge and sl st in next weave, continue thus around sock edge to starting point, cut thread, pull thru last loop to knot, weave in ends to finish.
Buttons are cute, too, just make sure the holes will accomodate the hook size. I used regular, white crochet thread...no. 10? Also, turn beads to inside of sock to wash.
