I am working on a sweater with a 46 row chart pattern. The instruction say "Beg with chart row 17, work in chart pat, AT THE SAME TIME, inc each side on 9th row, then every 8th row (9) times, which leaves me at row 44.
Then it says to inc every 10th row (2) times.
My question is do I incease from row 44 to row 46? Or do I knit 10 more rows and do my next increase on row 8?

You need to increase on row 44 (of your chart pattern), then work 9 rows even and increase on the next row (row 8 of your chart pattern).

End with Row 44
Then you do 9 rows without incrs. then inc on 10th row and then
10th you inc. for the 2nd time then continue with pattern.
Hope this helps.
