Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me with a puzzle I am trying to solve?
Starting with 10 each time how many are left after;
k1,p1,k2tog,(k1,p1)to end = a
k1,p1,k1 (k2 tog) repeat 3 times,k to end = b
(sl 1,k1,psso) 4 times, k to end = c
cast off 7, k2 tog, wrn,k to end = d
I need to find the values for a,b,c & d
Thanks
Alan

I agree with all of knittingmom's answers except to "c." By my count, you have 6 stitches left.

Just between you and me, I think knitting is more fun and relaxing!!! And I don't have to leave my rocking chair to do it. Enjoy your fun and knit away, too. Marian

Thanks for your help Marion.
I participate in a hobby called geocaching. This involves finding hidden caches (all round the world) using a gps reciever to find the cachce co ordinates. With this particular cache the answers to the knitting puzzle were used to create the co ordinates.
Check it out. www.geocaching.com
Many thanks
Alan

Well, I won't say my algebra is up to par, but this is the way I read it ...
a = 9
b = 7
c = 5
d = 3
Now that you've tested us, what is your purpose in this? Are you trying to chart a new item or just having a bit of fun??
Happy Knitting!!! Marian
