My daughter just returned from Ecuador where she learned to crochet. She was using a nylon type yarn that was about as thick as worsted yarn. Does anyone know where she is able to buy more? She made a gorgeous purse using 16 granny squares. Thank you.

I found a nylon cord for making purses at the Hobby Lobby store.

You can buy nylon cord in any home improvement store in a couple of bright colors (hot pink, yellow, orange) and usually you can find black and white in craft stores.
Try a web search on "cord" instead of "yarn" and you might turn up a variety of colors.
