can anyone help me find an easy native american crochet pattern? i've looked all over and have not been impressed with the ones i've seen on other websites. please help

It would be helpful if you could describe what you mean by "Native American" pattern, and what kinds of patterns you have seen and already rejected. The various indigenous people have their own designs -- the designs of the Pacific Northwest would be different than Navajo or Hopi which would be different from the designs of the Plains tribes, etc.
I have seen afghans crocheted with a Thunderbird pattern in the center. There is a drop stitch pattern that is called Apache Tears which is beautiful but it is a stitch pattern, not a motif.
