high ridge front stitch

This is a stitch in an Iran afghan. The pattern says it is stitches you know, use with a technique that makes the pattern unique. So I need to know how to do the high ridge front stitch. I am only assuming however that my best guess would be that it is a front post double crochet done only in the front loop? And a low ridge front stitch is a sc front post in the front loop.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I cant figure out this pattern

My pattern reads: skip 4 sc, (dc,ch1,dc,ch1,dc,ch,d1) in next st. My first question is which st to crochet in. My second question is if i should do all of those crochets in one st because when i look at the reference photo, it doesnt look right. I'm really eager to finish this project and i'm really worried my time and effort was a waste because i couldnt figure this out. Please reply soon, thanks.

need to calculate yarn needs to crochet around a wrap

I just knitted a wrap for my daughter-in-law. I need to crochet around the whole wrap and I have no idea how much yarn I need for that. The wrap is about 50 cm wide and 1.50 m long. Is there any way to calculate how many meters of yarn I need for the crochet part?

Any help will be appreciated.

New to crochet and need to understand what is the wrong side

I am fairly new to crocheting and I need to understand what the wrong side refers to in my pattern. The pattern states to chain 124 loosely. Then on Row 1 in parenthesis it says WRONG SIDE. I have read two different answers to other questions and one says it refers to the side of the stitch away from you. The other answer says it refers to what is next to your body when the project is finished. I think it must mean the side of the stitch away from your body.

Different size yields!?

I am currently working on a large blanket in which I took a 16 bit picture and am making a ton of granny squares and then sewing them together to make the picture.
I went and bought a whole bunch of yarn in all the colors I wanted, and some of the colors are different finishes. For example, one of the colors is a shiny blue, Red Heart Soft, while others are just flat colors.

unraveling stitches

After I had completed a shawl, I noticed that a hole was forming in the middle of the shawl!

I realized that I must have trimmed too much of the excess yarn where two skeins met. I was able to tie the loose ends but I'm missing a few stitches. I was using a double stitch.

I've only been crocheting for about a year.

How do I fix this hole?

Thanks.

Autumn Ribbons Afghan

So Excited! I made the Autumn Ribbons Afghan that is posted on Ravelry. I don't think that I can give the pattern here, but you can get it and all details at:

I wish I could attach a picture, but don't know how. It took me 5 weeks - yes, I am a slow lady! But next I am going to try an easy Easter bunny! Probably won't finish it until after Easter. Ha Ha - maybe I should try for a Santa Claus instead?
