Conflicting info from CYC and Michael's

Has anyone else had any problems with getting conflicting info? The things I have been told by CYC about how things are supposed to work at Michael's are pretty much the opposite of what happens and/or what they tell me at the store.

Example 1: Story Boards. It says on the CYC website that we are required to make a story board. I made one, it was very pretty. It got thrown away at the store. Yes, you read that right. In its place in the classroom, now hangs a hideous board with samples of knit and crochet, but the KNITTING SAMPLE IS DONE WRONG! It is clearly knit by someone who knits into the back of the stitch, but it's supposed to be a simple stockinette sample.

Example 2: Pay. I had been told by CYC that our pay was to be 90% of whatever the class fees were. With a 2 student minimum, at $25/student, my pay would be $40 for the class. The store manager said that, in addition to my hourly wage which I get when I clock in for every class, I get the difference between that and whatever the class fees were, which would mean that I get 100% of the class fees. This came up today when my paycheck didn't reflect that I'd had 2 students last week. All it had was my hourly wage. Still no clear word from mgmt on where the rest of my pay might be...

I could give further examples about the hiring process, but since I finally made it through all that, I won't go there.

Let me be clear: I LOVE TO TEACH KNITTING! I have done it for free for 5 years. It's what I want to do.

The confusion I continue to encounter is discouraging. I will continue to persevere, but I was just wondering if anyone else is dealing with this, or maybe it's just my store, or what? If it's something that is happening chain-wide, maybe something could be done to clear up the confusion.
