Hi there. i am trying to make a kitchen rug from a pattern i found. it's indicating that i should cast on 53 stitches for a 24/36" measurement.

I want to make it so it turns out to be 24 / 27" using 7mm needles, so I am wondering how many stitches I should cast on?

Make sense?
