Maybe this will help you, too....During my Discover the Knit Stitch class, I use the yarn department field trip to look at the bands.  We talk about all the information found there and how to make use of it.  One part that always stumps me are those laundry direction icons.  I found this in a google search...www.textileaffairs.com/docs/laundrycurriculum.pdf   It says it is okay to use for educational purposes so I printed out the last page only to keep with my notes.  I'm making another to keep by my washer/dryer.Susan
