I am currently working on baby booties that are striped.
The pattern states that at the end of a rnd done in sc to join with sl st in first sc. (Does this mean in the ch 1 at the beginning of the rnd?) Then it says pull up long lp to be picked up later.
After changing colors in the next two rnds and leaving long lps at the end of each rnd the pattern states: "pick up white from 2 rnds before last, ch2 (is not used or counted as a st), dc in next 9 sts."
I am entirely confused on how to pick up the long loop left from two rounds before. Which yarn will feed my new stitches, the piece on the outside of the work leading to the ball or the piece that is on the inside of the bootie creating part of the loop? I am trying to avoid contrasting yarn on the outside of my bootie leading vertically up to the next round as surely it is ugly and not the proper way to pick up the loop.
HELP ME PLEASE!!!!
