Knitting

Snowboarder hat

The pattern I am trying to follow says to join ear flaps: Turn work & cast on 19 sts. Turn back & knit across 25 sts. from 1st ear flap. Turn work & cast on 8 sts. I have not encountered this term "turn work". It is done in stocking st. It is a Bernat pattern. Could you possibly explain please?
With much appreciation, Arlene

unknitting

I am knitting a garter stitch scarf and think I messed up on a stitch or two. I thought I had heard of a technique called unknitting ----- if I unravel it, I am really bad at getting stitches back on the needle correctly. Could anyone tell me if there is such a procedure and if so, I'll look it up and see if I can find out how to do it.......thanks so much.

child's fringe cape

Hi, I have just started on this cape but need help to carry on knitting as I don't understand
the meaning of seam sts.

Row 1:P7, inc one st in next st, place marker on needle, p 2(seam sts), marker, inc one st
in next row, p 4, inc one st in next st, marker, p2(seam sts), marker....

What do I do after p2 regarding the seam sts?

Would appreciate help with this. Thank you in advance.

scarf problem

I am knitting a scarf in a rib pattern of k4, p4 and it is forming a nice rib, but it is curling at the edges. Will it stop when I finish and block it or should I tear it out and do a another stich at the edges like a seed stich?

Shoulder shaping

Hello:

The new site is awesome. However, I am unable to find anything, but we can always start over.

I am knitting a Softee Baby Hoodie

I am at the shoulder shaping. It says:

Shoulder shaping: Keeping cont of pat,
cast off 6 (7-7) sts beg next 4 rows, then
5 (6-8) sts beg following 2 rows. Cast off
rem 19 (21-23) sts.

Please help me again. I have no idea how to get this done.
Do I just cast off the first sts finish knitting the row and move to the next row?

Thank you
