I've looked through all the library books I can find and cannot find a similar problem. Every time I knit in stockinette stitch my knitting pulls down to the bottom left hand corner. So the knitting is longer on that corner but also the whole body of knitting seems to gradually move toward this point. I don't know quite how to explain this problem any better. I am a new knitter and feel quite disappointed about this. Is there anyone who can help me with an answer?

i searched the website and lots of links but i'm still clueless on how to knit the top of a ski cap i've been making. i need to knit a circle to attach to the band i've already knit as the base of the hat, but i have no idea how to do it or if i need round needles to make it work. can somebody please give me some simple, easy-to-read instructions for a beginner on how to knit a round piece with straight needles? oh, and not a hollow circle of course but a coaster-style type deal. i need help!

I was sent a phamplet via snail-mail from Knit Simple magazine to see if I wanted to subscribe. Does anyone know if this magazine has patterns that would be good for beginners (I basically know how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off, K2TOG, increase and decrease). I mostly have been making scarves. Basically I was wondering if I should bother subscribing.......thanks!

I am knitting a scarf with the basket weave pattern. Its cast on 32, k4, p4 until end of row. I'm pretty much new with purling but know how to do it. When I get to the very last stitch on the row, it is a purl stitch (at least for about the first 8 rows). I am having trouble with that last purl stitch. It is really loose after I get it on the right needle. Maybe I'm not doing it right ---- how can I correct this? Thanks.

...I am knitting a baby blanket. There are 141 stitches before you start the first row of the pattern then after the 16th row you start at row one again. Shouldn't there still be 141 stitches on the needle? Thanks!

I got hold of some yarn that was made in the late 1960's. It's 60% acrylic and 40% rayon. It's called "Dazzleaire". I have 6 skeins of white from the same dye lot. I also have 4 skeins of white with a problem. It looks like they just sat on a shelf gathering dust and the outside of the skein is somewhat discolored. I made a swatch and bleached it. This help some.

Do any of you know if this kind of yarn would take a white dye? Any other suggestions on getting our the off white color and getting it back to white?

I just went to my very first knitting class yesterday, and I'm practicing this morning. I have a problem, though, because the yarn between my knitting and the skein is getting all twisted and curled up. Eventually, this is going to become a real mess. What am I doing to make it do that, and how can I prevent it? Thanks.
