Has anyone thought about limiting the ages of students in your classes? I talked with my store manager, and told her that I didn't really want to teach children younger than 12. Not only am I not a babysitter, but usually people who work with kids have to be investigated, fingerprinted, etc. While I don't have any doubts about my ability to pass a background check, I would have doubts about a parent who would drop their kid off with someone who does not have that credential.

Are you doing anything for "I Love Yarn Day"? I'm thinking about making a sweat shirt with the logo on it to wear to class that day. I am taking classes at the local communitee college and also teaching knit and crochet classes on campus.

I'm also handing our bookmarkers to my students in my Discover classes at Michaels' and am going to talk to manager to see if I can do a special demo that day or something.

Hi .. I teach at 2 stores, #1 being my home store and #2 being the second store. The woman who handles everything for #1 has given me the hours of 12:30 to 2:30 because that was the only time slot she could do (I also work at home store #1 as a cashier so I really promote all the Michaels classes .. LOVE IT!)

The manager of #2 (an hour away .. one way) also would like me to be at his store (which I can:) but my hours would have to be 4 to 6 and they are going to let people know that too.

Mosaic Knitting
Making those swatches for the second level of my CYC certification. I've never done mosaic knitting, and the manual does not give enough information for me to understand what I'm doing. A web search hasn't given much more help. Can any of you more experienced knitters help me out? I've been knitting 30 years, but I guess I'm not experience as I thought . . . at least not in this technique.

Can someone help me find out where I can locate Class Sign Up Sheets so I can start having classes. We have not been able to locate any sheets for the Knitting Class. Other people are having classes, so there has to be sheets somewhere.

Is there a different method of knitting for left handers? I have someone who wants to learn to knit and asked if we taught a class for left handers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Last night my home store's Customer Experience Manager told me our classes are going to be offered at 50% off during the mandatory attendance demo scheduled for Saturday, September 10 from 1-3. They are calling the event "The Circus". We have to have our September and October schedules in for people to choose from. Does anyone else have more info?

Has anyone received their instructor's kit? I sent my money in and the check cleared on the 21st of July (sent about 10 days before that) and I still have not received anything. I started asking about it on the 2nd of August and got one response that day but nothing since then. I am starting to worry that I wasted my money. My Michaels store wants me to start teaching classes but I am not sure I should before I get the kit. My emails and phone calls have gone unanswered for over a week now.

After ranting about no students a few weeks ago, I had one person sign up last week, only to cancel at the last minute. Tonight, however, I did have another one student class opportunity.

My 20 year old duaghter found another use for sporty neck warmer. She suggested using it as headband style of ear muffs.
